Performance festival Verbo
Galeria Vermelho, Sao Paolo
Duration: 2 hours
Material: 4 performers,4 she-man suits, 4 wooden stages, switch
Supported by: The Mondrian Fund
4 men running without moving forward, wearing the suit of She-Man, while a green light is flashing above their heads on the wall. She-Man is a performative alter-ego, a superheroin that was created in
2010. A superheroin to research the concept of 'emergency' in the realm of art, to literally give a body to the emergency of the artist.
The rhythm of the lights flickering on the wall is are controlled by the artist, who sits in the corner with a button, sometimes supporting their rhythm, sometimes trying to break it, trying to influence
their running: go faster, slower, run together or individually...
