EVA builds a timemachine, 2024 5 weeks residency & exhibition Vrouw Muskens, Dongen
EVA built a time machine in 5 weeks with found and donated materials from people in Dongen. Since 2020 Schippers builds her installations in this way, recently she builded a spaceship, 2 lighthouses, a catapult chair and a meteor viewer. During the launchevent of the timemachine on June 30th, people could take a one-time trip to a moment of their choice in the past or present: What time would you like to go to if you could choose? By building these installations and asking people this question, it challenges people to stand still and think for a moment about their life, choices and possibilities.
Manus Groenen has written an insightful text about the project 'EVA builds a timemachine', you can read it HERE

This project is part of a residency organized by Vrouw Muskens, where the resident lives in a GGZ/Breburg department for 5 weeks, together with clients with longterm chronic psychiatric problems. How can art have a positive impact on the quality of life and bring innovation to mental health care?
