On June 21st, the Meteorite Museum Amsterdam presented at the celebration of 750 year Amsterdam. For this occasion we build a Mobile museum, the Mobile Meteorite Museum Amsterdam [MMMA] that people could visit, one at the time, during the event celebrating 750 years Amsterdam on the circleroad of Amsterdam. Thousands of people visited the Ring and the museum, and got their picture taken with a chosen stone, becoming part of the collective Friends of the Meteorite Museum.
HERE you can watch a videoreportage of the day. The MMA is before everything else a project that grows through involvement, dialogue and collaboration. Since December 2024 we mapped and opened 11 satellite locations throughout Amsterdam. We worked together with artists, PhD students, musicians, writers, scientists and enthusiasts.
